The Scarlet Hellion
A downloadable Mod
The Scarlet Hellion is an idTech 0 gameplay mod for GZDoom, LZDoom, Zandronum, etc. The central focus is solely on one weapon: The Mage Crystal Greatsword. As you venture further you can acquire runes to give the blade new attacks and adapt to your situation as needed.
Also included is the Harbingers of Torment, a companion monster mod for Doom and Doom 2 that are designed specifically around what Hellion herself is capable of. Although nothing is stopping you from loading other weapons-only mods alongside them.
There's a very extensive How To Play section of the menu that should hopefully explain everything in excruciating detail.

Just beat hexen with it! Had a very good time. Do wonder what those three pentagram things in the how to play section are since I didnt see them.
They're Consolation Prize Doom 64 specific, found in the secret levels.
hey so I got the horn key and got the second of the "one sixth of the puzzle has been completed" things. I got the secondary fire for the second weapon. I am very confused as to what to do next I feel like I've explored all of the areas a few times over and cant figure out what to do.
update, no clue how i was SUPPOSED to get to the cave of circe so i just no clipped in
The shaded woods in Hexen has this structure of "you find a key in one area -> go to the next area -> find another key -> go to the third area -> get the last key you need -> backtrack to find all the other switches". It's a small part of why it's hard to recommend Hexen to people who don't have a walkthrough on hand.

oh my goodness im just now realizing that this is hexen i for some reason thought you'd made everything I was playing and not just the weapons and items and stuff snjfjfkskdkfng
Just played the first episode of Doom 1 with it, it's a really good mod. Once you really get it, it becomes really fun chaining all types of attacks together. Only problem was the health orb thing didn't scale properly to my monitor but other than that everything worked fine.
Glad you enjoyed it! As for the HUD, try typing in "hud_scale -1" in the console (or go hunting around in the HUD options -> Scaling Options -> User Interface Scale to "Adapt to Screen Size" so you don't need to bust out the magnifying glass to see your stats.
